1982 ABA Grand Nationals. This was my first Grand's, needless to say, I did not make it out of my main.

My first race! 1979, at Rockford BMX (notice the manual gate!) I am number 22 aboard my first BMX bike, Mongoose.... Something. I think the Torker Guy in lane 7 smoked us all. He was the only one who didn't have his foot down at the start.

1983 ABA Grand Nationals. This was my second Grand's, and again I didn't transfer out of my main. Oh well.

I think this was around 1983 in Michigan somewhere for a National. I remember leading this main until that last turn before these huge doubles and I lost it. I ended up like 5th. That was a loooong trip home.
